October

I always love the way October begins (General Conference) but not so much the way it ends (Halloween).
HAHA
Anyway...here we go...

Sports continued to be a big part of the month.
Tyler with flag football.
Esplan and Sean with cross country.

Meanwhile, down in Texas, Mac won his baseball tournament.
(Get a look at that championship ring!!)

Amber and her kids visited for a week (their way of celebrating the spud harvest). We enjoyed working around the house and yard, a trip to The Living Planet, and volleyball at the high school.

A trip to Salt Lake for Bruce gave us an opportunity to visit with Michael and take a trip to Ruby Snap.

NJM news -
Look out!! Esplan got his learner's permit!
(Texas also has Erin behind the wheel. Just saying.)

Finn got his government ID - and he no longer has his wisdom teeth!

And...Brighten Blades is up and running. If you haven't ordered yours yet...you'll love them!

The Birthday Bird only made one stop this month.
Happy 39th Birthday to Dave on the 10th!
(Don't let those Christmas jammies fool you! This picture is from October!)

This month's question is -
Who fell out of the apple tree - a place where he shouldn't be?
A broken rib and lots of bruises.
The recovery has been rather long and slow.
Glad it wasn't any worse!

On the upside - we have had two excellent home Sacrament Meetings. The first week we tuned into the Morgan 9th Ward. Great talks were given by Nathan, Kristy, and Esplan. The second week took us to the Allen 3rd Ward for another great talk - this one by Ryan.

Another plus - little elves that helped with all those blasted leaves!

Erin was invited to her first Homecoming.

We lost dear Aunt LuAnne this month. She will truly be missed.
She passed away on October 17. Her funeral was on the 23rd in Preston, Idaho.

The KJLs and DARs were able to meet up for the Pocatello Temple Open House on the 23rd.

And for those who may have been asleep...
Our mission call to return to Lisbon came on the 26th. Plans are to leave March 3, 2022, for a year.

We will miss our family soooooo much but feel that we need to finish what we started. Just know that any or all of you are invited to visit.

Even with Dad's/Grandpa's incapacitation, we were still able to take a quick jaunt down to the Melting Pot in SLC with Bill and Sandy.
A guy's got to eat, don't cha know!

And finally - the little McSpooks of 2021...

And the NJMs had another successful year with their haunted house...

Yep.
This was a crazy, busy month.
For sure.

Can't wait to see what's in store for us in the next 30 days!
