May

May began in an excellent way...

Up North, with Baby Cinco just around the corner, the Rowes decided to add to the excitement by bringing a cat into their family!

Welcome Callie.

We added to our excitement by taking a trip to Puerto Vallarta with Kay and Larry Brown.

            This is where we stayed.

Not on the beach, but pretty amazing!

And...speaking of amazing...check out this food!

Our activities included -
The Botanical Gardens

ATVs

Zip Lines

Boat Rides (and a stop at Yalapa)

Tortilla Making

Road Trips

Exploring Puerto Vallarta

More Boats

Walking the 'Big Up' to get home

And sooooooo much more!

And a big, big thank you to our hosts who made this incredible week possible -
Gonzalo & Bret
Because of them (and their Estigo Tours) this was pretty much an all expense paid vacation. We were treated like royalty and had to worry about nothing!!
All we can say is...
Muchas Gracias mis amigos!

After a very long drought of 14 months, we were finally able to return to the temple this month.
Oh, how we have missed it!

May Birthdays included...

Erin who turned 15 on the 18th,

Dad/Grandpa who turned 76 on the 21st,

and Oliver who turned 8 on the 29th.

8 is Great, and this is why.
Oliver's baptism was the very same day as his birthday!
We are so proud of you, Oliver.

School was cool, but..
Finn participated in the Special Olympics and had a date to the 'Last Chance Dance'.

Esplan and friends
Happy Summer to all the grandkids and their parents.

This year sure beat last year's celebration...

In other news,
the Layton Temple is moving right along.

And we attended Jenna's high school graduation.

With June just hours away, we are already anticipating all that is to come.
Bet you can't wait to see if you make the June issue of

April

We will begin this month's blog with the Birthday Bird visits. He had quite a few miles to cover, don't cha know!!

First stop - Morgan. To see our Nathan.
44 on April 1st.

Next he flew to Layton to visit Sean.
15 on the 7th

Further south, he paid a visit to our favorite missionary - Emma.
20 on the 13th

Back up to Layton. This time for Tyler.
13 on the 14th

Flap, flap, flap way up to Rexburg to celebrate Dexter's birthday.
3 on the 15th

Then he just hung around up there until he could visit Hayley.
20 on the 23rd

And then with all the strength he could muster, he caught a wind current and swept down to Texas to Mac's house.
7 on the 29th

General Conference/Easter Weekend
It's always special when these two events occur together. So many good messages for the next six months. I will share just a few of my favorite quotes:

Kimberly invited us down for Easter Dinner.

The sweatshop kept us busy...

Oh, happy day!
Sean got his driver's permit.

We spent a couple of days in Rexburg when Dave was in Texas.

(Rexburg winds and kites always go together.)

And while we were up there we met these four cute little super heroes.

Sports was still a big deal this month.
Oliver and Ruby and soccer.

Tyler and lacrosse

And Esplan continued in basketball.

After a lot of rescheduling we were finally able to get together with Dad's/Grandpa's siblings for lunch at Maddox.
(LuAnne and Mark were also there but left before we remembered the picture.)

And. Oh. No. Yes.
We were still doing puzzles. 😁

Vacations seem to be up and running.
Yay for the NJMs and their adventure to Disneyworld.
Masks and all!

And yay for Kimba, Emily, and friends and the weekend get-away to Las Vegas.

Thanks to Covid and their dad's reluctance...these four had a few days with Grandma and Grandpa.

And there you have it.
We have made it through 1/4 of 2021!

April

Seven birthdays this month - count them! Nathan celebrated year 49 on the 1st. Elder Sean turned 20 on the 7th. Happy 25th birthday to Emm...
