July

  • "If I had my way, I’d remove January from the calendar altogether and have an extra July instead." —Roald Dahl
Enjoy what we did with just one July...

Three birthdays this month!

Patrick turned 4 on the 7th.

Amanda turned 27 on the 17th.

And Alex celebrated turning 26 on the 30th.

Rexburg's 4th was a bit chilly.

Morgan's 4th was quite nice until the hurricane hit!

Texas enjoyed OK weather.

Louisiana lucked out.

And even Erin was able to celebrate the big day at the CCM!

We made the most of the rest of July in the following ways...

Kit Kat is incredibly popular in Japan and they make an impressive variety of flavors. We brought home several and had a taste test to determine the best...
In Japanese, Kitto Katsu means "You will surely win", so the candy in considered a good luck charm when given or eaten!
(FYI...not all flavors are equally delicious.)

The NJMs enjoyed some family time this month...

And who could pass up 7-11 Day?

Hayley and Jackson got paddle boards to enjoy Texas evenings on the lake.

The DARs enjoyed pool time and swimming lessons.

Grandpa got sick sick sick!!!
(But he's getting a little bit better every day!)

Emma's love for High School Musical took her to East High School for a tour.

Mac went to a Stars hockey camp...

The RJMs and GCGs have enjoyed their summer pass to Top Golf 😁

"No, I don't think so.
 Put it back.
Now!"

Seth and Ainsley are training for the St. George Marathon. In preparation for that event this Fall, Ainsley ran a half marathon last week.
Way to go, Ainsley!

Brielle went to Girls' Camp at Heber Valley.

Kristy's quilt won Sweepstakes at the Fair!

You little trippers went here, there, and everywhere this month!

Seth and Ainsley went on a Sims family adventure cruising the ABC islands.

Amber and Dave skipped out to Hawaii for 10 days   - work and pleasure, don't cha know!

Lincoln, Oliver, Ruby, Dexter, and Patrick 'atteded' Camp LeDuc for those ten days...πŸ˜‚

...While Rosie was at Grandma Camp.

Ryan and Shelley met up with David in Oklahoma City for a couple of days.

Emily and Mac accompanied Geoff to San Diego for their anniversary (and work for Geoff).

After returning home, the DARs were off again - this time to the Rowe Family Reunion at their cabin in Island Park.

Alex and Amanda made a quick trip to Utah. While there the kids went to the BYU stadium to watch Wicked on the big screen and passed the time playing games.

Elder LeDuc and his companion were able to Zoom with Elder Renlund this month. And it's also been a pretty sloshy month back east! Not to worry though, our dear Elder LeDuckπŸ¦† is not just waiting for the storm to pass but he's also learning how to dance in the rain!

Hermana Mac started off the month in the CCM in Mexico City. She loved it so much! Then it was off to Panama where her mission president and his wife were at the airport waiting with open arms. She loves them already! She is currently adjusting to the culture, food and language.πŸ˜‰

The days are counting down for Esplan - visas, passports, clothes, you name it!
 It won't be long now!!!

Just one more thought...

May your August be filled with good thoughts, kind people, and happy moments.
XOXOOX, Mom

April

Seven birthdays this month - count them! Nathan celebrated year 49 on the 1st. Elder Sean turned 20 on the 7th. Happy 25th birthday to Emm...
