This was a month of family visits, celebrations, cousin sleepovers, picnics, swimming, and anything else that could bring us together!
We enjoyed a couple of visits with Dad's siblings. LuAnne is still fighting a lung infection, so she was unable to join us, but the rest were healthy and willing to buck Old Mr. Covid.
A little Shakespeare never hurt anyone. This adaptation was done at Jenna's school. Much Ado About Nothing. (Jenna is the one on the far right. She did a great job.)

We enjoyed the addition of Amber, Dave, Lincoln, Oliver, Ruby, Dexter, Ryan, and Seth to the Utah family this month, as well.
(See if you can spot them in the pictures below!)
And now
- in no particular order -
The kids enjoyed tie-dying shirts for the new school year.
The pool was a big hit. I know. What a surprise!!
"Hey. We have an idea. Let's all sleep over on Grandma's living room floor."
More swimming, basketball, lawn games, and hammocks.
"Hey. We have another great idea. Let's all sleep out in the backyard - in hammocks!"
This particular picnic was made even more special with the addition of homemade ice cream. Not just one flavor, but three! Vanilla, Peach, and Chocolate Snickers.
(Finn and Oliver were Grandpa's super helpers!)
We enjoyed fresh peaches every morning for breakfast. And, when we got tired of picnics, we hippity-hopped down to J's.
After Seth got moved in this week, we all met a Rodizio Grill for a delicious dinner. (This is where Christian works on his 'working' days.)
So, I guess the two big hits for the grandkids for the month of August have been
the pool...
...and the newly painted basketball lines on the new cement driveway. 😊

As for Grandpa, he is just so happy that his corn is as high as an elephant's eye (and very delicious, as well!)
And for the celebrations...
Happy Anniversary to Ryan and Shelley on the 12th! Twenty-four years and more in love than ever, don't cha know!!
And the 'Birthday Bird' visited Ruby on the 25th as she turned 5, and Kristy and Esplan on the 26th for their 42nd and 14th years, respectively.
But all good things must come to an end. Before we knew it, it was...

So, I would hardly call these the lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer, because, as you can see, they were crazy-busy days, for sure! But we loved almost every minute of them. HAHA. And isn't that what it's all about, anyway?
