2020 - Home Again, Home Again!

"When the world is running down, you make the best of what's still around."
(Song lyrics, Sting)

2020
You brought us home from Lisbon six months early, put us in quarantine, then made us 'social distance' from family and friends.

In spite of all of that, there are still some McMoments we want to remember in the months since our return...

(January - March are recorded in LisbonMcMission.blogspot.com)

APRIL
What can I say?! We made the most of it!

Finn and Spee made us this wonderful poster for General Conference.

And, by far, the Sabbath day became our favorite.
Thank you, dear children, for the McVotionals on Zoom each week!

MAY
When we felt it was safe to venture out, we made a quick trip to Rexburg to visit the DARs.

We loved their new blue/gray home. (Ruby's words, not mine.)

And speaking of Ruby - every time we went out, she was sure to remind us to wear our masks.

The 'New Normal', don't cha know!!

The NJMs made the best of it, as well, by building a fire pit.

Sister McClellan 'entered' the MTC.

Dad/Grandpa turned the big 75!

The cousins in Utah/Idaho got together often.

The 5K pooped everyone out.

Memorial Day - 2020 style

And we completed the month with a Portugal Senior Missionary Get-Together at David and Neill Marriott's mountain home.
We hadn't seen Kay and Larry for weeks!

JUNE
Let's not let this Covid-19 get the best of us!
We welcomed June with more family activities.
The fire pit continued to be a big hit!

Oliver and Ruby were able to spend a few days with Grandma and Grandpa.

The cousins found David's old train set.😀

"Let's make a fort with the old hobo blankets!"

There was no shortage of cousin bonding time!!!

A special treat was the David visit. He and Christa spent the day with the Utah/Idaho
clan this past weekend. It made us realize how much we have missed him!

Now, I know that the month of June still has a few good days left in it, but I wanted to get this blog up and running again.
Two things we are looking forward to...
Next week we have our appointment to take our mountains of stuff to DI. YAY!
And...we can hardly wait to pack up the car and head to Texas for THE WEDDING! It won't be long now! We'll see you Texas people real soon!

Tchau👋
